Darn it! DARN...Yesterday and Friday I forgot to get my resource card stamped, not to mention Monday, when there was no school, but we still have to do resource. So curses, I am five mods behind. Not only that, I can't do them on Friday, which is make-up day, because that's my language lab day! Why do they have to make us do both!? Why can't language lab count for resource? I mean, I'm going to be giving up my scant few lunch mods for the next two weeks for stupid resource. Oh how i HATE it! Not to mention that I am two days behind on my math assignments. All I'm asking for is forty minutes a day to eat and socialize with my friends. Stupid school. I HATE resource.
Oh, she's safe - just like I promised. She's all set to marry Norrington, just like she promised, and you're going to die for her, just like you promised. So we are all men of our word, except for Elizabeth, who is, in fact, a woman.

So I got my report card a few days ago. I got a 3.67 for the semester...as always. I got a B in German for the grading period, and I don't know why. But I got a C, not a C- in da rosa's class! And what I was thinking was "haha, brilliant! da rosa, you old hag, you have not defeated me! this cup, this red card of resource shame, has passed from me!"
But no. Yesterday the evil blue cards arrived in reg. Cursed things, I have to do 4 mods of resource every week plus 2 mods in the language lab. How I hate resource! But on the bright side, it's only for three weeks this time.
I just got back from the SFBS audition. It was actually pretty fun. I made friends with one girl from Morganhill. Interesting - I asked what ballet school she went to, but not her name. So I got there around 12:50, registered, stretched, and all that. The audition was supposed to start at 1:30, but they decided to make it two classes, so I didn't go until about 2:45. We had a quick barre in a huge studio. I made a lot of typo-ish mistakes and I think I was kind of mediocre/bad in general at the barre. Then we got into rows at the center and learned the adagio. We went with the other girls in our row, so six at a time. I was fourth or fifth out of maybe fifteen rows. Then pirouettes, some warm-up changements, petit allegro, and grand allegro. Except for grand allegro and adagio, my dancing ranged from ok to kind of bad. I did pretty good on grand allegro - we went two at a time. One of the judges smiled when I was done - was it me or my partner, or something that had nothing to do with the audition? Then we put on our pointe shoes, did some echappes to warm-up or feet, and then had one short combination across the floor - pique turns, a tombe pas de bourree en pointe, and a pirouette, and we did it a bunch of times. One girl didn't do the pirouettes at all - once she just took a retiree releve, but sometimes she just stayed in plie. I think that was a bad idea. Some people looked downright scared when they took their turn - unfortunate - and everybody made some mistakes, cause we were all nervous and we didn't have very long to get the combinations down. Nobody was incredible, but some people were pretty good. Nobody seemed like an obvious choice to accept into the program.
Afterwards I was talking to the girl from Morganhill. I said the teacher (Ms. Govrin) was really nice, and she misheard and thought I said she danced really nice, or her piques were really nice. But that's fine. She smiled really big and said I did really well too. And when I was washing my hands in the bathroom the girl who came in, who I didn't know and hadn't spoken to, just said that I did a really good job. Oh yeah, it was so cut-throat. *snort* No, the dancers were all really nice.
What a nice day.
I'm actually good at math, but no believes me and I'll never be able to prove it...
Haha, brilliant! I got a C not a C- in modern world last grading period! Old hag da Rosa, you have not defeated me! I got a C, not a C-, and this cup, this red card of resource shame, has passed from me! Haha!
I took a, quote, advanced, unquote, pointe class at Star Dance on Tuesday and a regular technique class and a short pointe class yesterday. Tuesday was challenging, even though I was better than most of the people in that class. Wednesday was just fun. It was nice to see my old teacher, too. And we got to do a grand allegro - a real grand allegro, mind you, not those stupid tombe-pirouette combinations we have in ballet 4 at academy - and it was really, really fun. Odd. I haven't had a sote d'chat in months. I was delighted to discover that mine is still quite good, at least to the right. my goodness, it is so odd to think that ballet can be fun. That jump alone was worth the $15! Watch the Princess Diaries, Mia does a quasi- grand jete when she jumps over Josh in the softball scene.
pointe shoes: $54
monthly tuition: $400
hair gel: $2.95
the perfect sote d'chat: priceless
I'm good at math. No one believes me...I always get bad test scores, and my teacher thinks I'm slow. She gets irritated because I ask questions about things she already explained, and even though she does explain it again, she does it between exclaiming over how horrible I am for not taking notes. I used to all the time, but now I just space out and draw shoes.
I had a really good ballet class today. That makes me feel better about the audition. But that doesn't necessarily mean anything, because I always do worse in front of strangers. Especially super-intimidating, highly superior canniballistic ballet girls.
Ich mochte schlafen jetzt. Spater dann, blog.
Woo. In the spirit of Connieland, I've decided to post a never-mailed letter I found recently. Yep, I'm a biter. Munch munch.
We are very disappointed at your attitude towards the Munchie Kingdom, The Munchie Club, and altogether Munchies. We would like to se a definant and permanent improvement in your enthusiasm. We would also like you to have more dedication towards the MM & Tech club. We are very serious. We will be watching you very closely. In a few days it will be revealed where your loyalties lie. Don't underestime us. We don't want this to happen, if we don't see an obvious and permanent improvement in your attitude, there will be a penalty.
Your Royal Friends,

Hehehehe. You won't get what we're talking about, but don't you love all my 1984-esque threats, followed by that lovely signing off: "your royal friends"?
More to follow.
On Sunday we went up to Tahoe. We were supposed to go on Saturday but some roads were closed so we couldn't. We all went skiing (or in my and my sister's case, snowboarding). It was freezing. haha, what a weird word that is. Say it to yourself a few times. Anyway I had an okay time. Except I spent literally two hours putting on/ taking off layers because I was cold/ hot, trying to get into the stupid locker, and waiting for people at the bottom of the slope so that they could help me get into the stupid locker. Stupid thing is tiny, and you have to pay 75 cents every time you want to lock it. It got better after lunch, except when this little kid who was learning how to snowboard smashed into me. My butt still hurts. I feel bad because I gave him an angry look for a second, but then I saw he was just a little sad-eyed boy. And then his teacher came over and yelled at him. I felt sorry for him. There actually wasn't too much traffic driving back home - surprising, but nice of course. We watched Daddy Day Care and Green Card (love that movie) in the car.
I wish I had my own bathroom so much. Me and my big sister are always fighting over who gets to use it first. It's really not fair - I always let her go first when she had a 1/2 class. She would always whine at me - "Hollyyyy, that's not faaair, I have to get up at six thiiiirty." Not to mention there's always some sort of disgusting schmutz left in the shower. Sigh. When I get my own apartment or whatever I'll have my own shower, and it'll be the cleanest one on the planet. Clean like a whistle. Haha. Don't know where that came from.
Ah well. Must go do my math homework.
Got my new schedule. You'll hear no complaints from me (at least for a little while) - I'm happy enough right now just 'cause I DIDN'T GET DA ROSA!
After scheduling I went to Wallenberg. Sadly I had to leave after only an hour and a half. The people in Sara's English class were very stupid. Poor YM. The school is so small that people actually notice a new person - I was asked multiple times if I was a new student. The Breeders there were really menacing-looking. I made myself feel better by pretending that I was from Balboa, so that I felt relatively safe. Haha.
Last night I finished watching Das Boot. Really depressing. Really long. I suppose I would recommend it.
Out and over.
Life is sad sometimes. Really sad.
I have a relatively happy life. I wish everyone did.
I heard there was a secret chord
That David played and it pleased the lord
But you don’t really care for music, do you?
Well it goes like this:
The fourth, the fifth, the minor fall and the major lift
The baffled king composing hallelujah
Well your faith was strong but you needed proof
You saw her bathing on the roof
Her beauty and the moonlight overthrough ya
She tied you to her kitchen chair
She broke your throne and she cut your hair
And from your lips she drew the hallelujah
Well, maybe I’ve been here before
I’ve seen this room and I’ve walked this floor
I used to live with leonard before I knew ya
I’ve seen your flag on the marble arch
But love is not a victory march
It’s a cold and it’s a broken hallelujah
There was a time when you let me know
What’s really going on below
But now you never show that to me do ya
But remember when I moved in you
And the holy dove was moving too
And every breath you drew was hallelujah
And maybe there’s a God above
But all I’ve ever learned from love
Was how to shoot somebody who outdrew ya
Well it’s not a cry that you hear at night
It’s not somebody who’s seen the light
It’s a cold and it’s a broken hallelujah
Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah
Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah...
What a terrifying experience. Those have got to be the most terrifying dancers I've ever meet. They were all very tall, and very skinny...almost all of them had blonde hair. The ballet bun makes them look especially imposing. They were all checking each other out, trying to figure out which dancer would offer the most competition. They wanted to eat me. I could tell. Good thing I got out before they succeeded.
