Half and half

Half Northern California and half northern Illinois, that is. From the roll of film I got developed today (just used a plastic no-settings camera that I found in a bag of childhood things :).

Until my first fall in Illinois, I'd never seen these enormous brown paper bags that people use for leaves and stuff. I know they must be ordinary, but they're still novel to me.

I love pillars and brick wall. Crumbly masonry + faux ancient architecture = brilliance.

Lovely photos. And yes those brown paper bags are novel to me too!

pinkapplecore - Yes, the way the light leaked on that photo made me so pleased!

The Pieces - Yeahh leaky cameras ftw. Did you? Excellent. You're quite welcome.

CC - Why do birds die like that? I see them...well, not all over, but more often than I see any other dead animals.

Shannon - Fanks :) The pillars are at a museum, which I figure can get away with the faux ancient thing.

Shokoofeh - Thank you. :) Must be a Midwestern USian thing?

Milli - Aw, I'm sorry, chicky. If it makes you feel better it freaked my friends out too. We were on the property of a religious cult and they were a smidgen on edge! Hehe.

geekspawn - THERE's my creepy friend! <3

Danielle - hmm! would be fun to have enough power to completely reshape someone's aesthetic...;)

Erin - I SEE! THANK YOU! ALTHOUGH IT DOES KINDA MATTER, BECAUSE THESE PICTURES WOULD HAVE BEEN BORING FROM MY DIGICAM!

hehe. <3

funny, those bags are so familiar to me.

Holly 5/18/2010 11:06 PM

Sarah Louise - Yeah, I guess we just don't have enough lawn rubbish.

aipingplum 5/18/2010 11:13 PM

Oh my gosh, that last one reminded me of OCO community work days!!!! Gehhhh...

Holly 5/18/2010 11:40 PM

aipingplum - I got to be a work partner on one of those! So I do know what you're talking about. Being bought for a good cause by a fussy Wheaton homeowner...hurhur.
