Bow wave

On the shore of Lake Michigan with my Chicago girl.

The waves were enormous that day; they were regularly washing over the path that lines the shore.

With the magic of double exposure (I took a picture of a wave on top of a picture of her), it looks kinda like she and the lens are being drenched by a bow wave. A happy analogue accident.

Oh, and these were the shoes I mentioned, the ones we had to hunt down so I could be taller than her.

I cannot see the shoes! They are on a private page! :(

Q - oh noes! thank you, I fix.

What yummy shoes! :)

Holly 11/08/2010 9:40 AM

Edge - haha, you like? I think they look okay, but they felt awful...[I don't do heels.]

Heh, I love a good pair of heels and those are amazing.

Jenica 11/08/2010 5:17 PM

Ha, I would DIE in heels like that. They do look great though, especially with those tights.
And that picture is completely awesome. It kind of looks like she's staring at the camera in shock as it gets thoroughly soaked...

guys, I just realized the second exposure isn't a wave, it's a TREE. cluelesssss

geekspawn - it's phonny cause she and I thought they were SO trashy, but now they don't look that bad.

Jenica - yeah, hate shoes that don't let you bend your ankles. > < my poor tights still haven't recovered from the velvet-rain stains of that day...

odessa 11/08/2010 11:02 PM

wow, those heels are so grown-up Dorothy it!!!

Holly 11/09/2010 10:44 AM

odessa - do any of your kiddos wear those glitter-covered mary janes? they were SO popular when I was little...essentially the flat version of those :)

geekspawn 11/09/2010 4:59 PM

^ Hope has a red pair. And I used to have a pink pair and a red pair.

Holly 11/09/2010 5:22 PM

geekspawn - YESSS! and they shed glitter when you scrape them against each other? SO GREAT. for the coolest kids in Sunday school.

odessa 11/09/2010 10:11 PM

hmmm....not really. haven't seen those in awhile. a lot of the students are pretty trendy, i guess they wear whatever is "in" these days, which are mostly boots over skinny jeans. :)

Holly 11/10/2010 11:41 AM
