It looks pretty, but then you realize that there's a wrapped present at the center instead of a Baby Jesus. Hmm. Now that's social commentary, intentional or not.

That's BRILLIANT social commentary.

the bestest scene I ever saw had all the characters gathered around an old television set instead of a manger.

Julia 12/11/2010 8:55 AM

this is just brilliant. I need to RT this.

Q - I'm SO curious how deep the irony extends. I may knock on their door.

Noël - Oh MY that's good...veritable lawn art.

Julia - I was glad I stopped to take pictures; otherwise I wouldn't have noticed that anything was off.

Erin 12/11/2010 2:26 PM

ah wow!

Holly 12/11/2010 4:12 PM

Erin - strange, hey?

Je Reve 12/11/2010 4:32 PM

Good God. That made my holiday season bright.

Holly 12/11/2010 5:51 PM

Je Reve - Haha, really? It almost gave me a seizure of incredulity/indignation.

Aren 12/12/2010 10:23 PM

Holly 12/13/2010 4:50 PM

Aren - That's possible too. (One of my friends joked that there might be a Baby Jesus inside the box.) Even so, it would say something that a present is the easiest way to represent "gift."

Amber 12/18/2010 9:37 AM

Wow. That is some very impressive Christmas tat.

aipingplum 1/03/2011 5:19 PM

Holly 1/03/2011 6:02 PM
